Established in 2010 in Xi’an, western China, the SMPL began as a center for classical soft matter research and has since evolved into a hub for active matter systems. By studying bacteria—nature’s microscopic marvels—we uncover the intricate physics of single-cell navigation in complex fluids at low Reynolds numbers, revealing the ingenious strategies of life at the smallest scales.
Congratulations to Yangguang TIAN, for success of defense for Master degree of Physics, on bacterial interaction with cells. Afterwords, he basically was accepted being PhD candidate in EPFL.
