Welcome to the Soft Matter Physics Laboratory! We are based in Xi’an, the ancient capital of China and a city rich in history and culture. Our lab is part of the School of Physics at Northwest University—one of the oldest and most respected universities in China. Despite the name, Northwest University is not located in the far northwest; in fact, Xi’an lies near the geographical center of the country. Rooted in a strong foundation of physics, our research explores the frontiers of soft and active matter.
